Where am I standing
Hi my lovely.  This is you.  I'm you and you are me.
I'm writing this to you because you don't think you are free.
I can tell you that you are, but you do not see it yet –
You do not see how wonderful your life is going to get.

The journey I have done is the journey you will do.
And maybe you do not believe the things I say are true.
But the truth, my cosmic sister, is that you're already great;
Accepting this is bound up with your destiny.  It's fate.

Selfishness and wanting more must start inside your heart;
A warrior must love themselves before their quest can start.
So, for now, be good to you and remember what I say:
When you stand where I stand, magic happens every day.

Poetic portrait for my lovely

This was a poetic portrait written for a visitor to my Fig2  solo exhibition at the ICA in January 2015.

What is a Poetic Portrait?
