The sea of now

See you in the Sea of Now,
We're always swimming there,
The past is in our breaststroke
And the future in our hair.

See that everyone we know
Is swimming here too.
Some are scared and want to go –
They think the Sea's not true.

But if we swim with them and show
That yesterday's tomorrow,
That all of us can have this glow,
That joy is also sorrow,

They start to understand –
It is simple in the Sea
So let them take our hand
And be one with you and me.

For Carl and all the pleebles . . . who showed me that the sea of now is not on any map.
